Online publication of the Seguso Vetri d’Arte Archive

As of 10 July, the archive of Seguso Vetri d’Arte – the prestigious Murano glassworks – will be put online as part of the Fondazione Giorgio Cini digital catalogue, following a long and complex process of inventorying and cataloguing the firm’s documentary heritage.
The archive, acquired by the Centre for Glass Studies in 2013, consists of over 20,000 glass-working designs, an equally substantial number of period photographic prints, plus 31 production catalogues, all in original format, covering a chronological span of the company’s activity from 1937 to 1973, and representing a unique body of material, especially for scholars and experts in the sector.
