  • Engraved Orrefors vase designed by Vicki Lindstrand in 1935. The vase measures 7 inches tall and 6 1/2 inches wide. It is signed (incised) on the base "Orrefors L 1447 B.5. T.S." The "1447" portion of the signature dates the introduction of this design to 1935, while the "B5" portion dates the actual production to 1948. This vase is depicted on page 110 of the book "Swedish Glass Factories Production Catalogs 1915-1960," by Ricke and Thor, as part of Orrefors' 1935 catalog. This vase features a fine, detailed engraving of a nude woman with a bow, which I believe represents the Greek Goddess "Diana the Huntress." The vase is in excellent condition, with no chips, flea-bites, cracks, repairs, or internal cloudiness.
